The primary objective of the Engineering Order process is to identify and control incremental changes to a particular pre-production drawing. A secondary objective of the Engineering Order process is to provide the medium by which general work instructions that do not affect the configuration of parts/assemblies are relayed from the Design Engineering function to the prototype manufacturing function.
